20th Century North American Drama

University Libraries have purchased the full-text play database 20th Century North American Drama. Some of you will remember that we had conversations about this about two years ago. Your input has not been for naught! Thanks to the University Libraries Expensive Purchase Committee for reviewing and finally approving the proposal to purchase this.

20thC NAM is growing with more than 800 plays in the database presently. When completed it will contain 2,000 plays. The playscripts and information related to the plays and playwrights is searchable using the same deep searching capabilities as our two other full-text play databases Asian American Drama and Black Drama.

From the library home page link via Databases by Subject. http://www.library.cmu.edu/search/db/nadrlive.html or Databases by Name.

Its very depressing that during my first freshman year 4 years ago we had just received our millionth book. BTW we are a major university and I pay tooooo much money. I think it is great that we keep on expanding, but I do not believe we could have received more drama books than spending millions of dollars on an underground "lair" that supposedly hides part of our constitution.
