Its interesting to see a peice that is obviously made for a certain kind of audience. The targeted view of the play is something that every show has but that is rarely this obvious.
This seems like a cool show. But what stuck out to me most was the fact that they are singing to recorded music. In Technical Management last semester, we discussed how shows are forced, due to union regulations, to hire musicians almost regardless of the need in the show. So it surprises me that in a show that requires music, real musicians are not present. i hope this is not an on going trend. Live music really makes theatre more exciting.
