Business Cards Made of Beef Jerky

Cool Material: If you’re looking for a new set of business cards that potential contacts will seriously want to get their paws on, here you go. Of course they’ll probably want them because they need an afternoon snack, but that’s besides the point.

The laser cutter has brought about a surge of non-standard business cards. I personally don’t care for them. I cant imagine a world in which there was no standard wallet sized card that everyone new they could conform to. I actually think in some cases the fancy-schmancy business cards are more likely to get lost, because I have no idea what to do with them. That being said… those cards look delicious. I would definitely remember the experience of being handed one, I don’t know if I would eat it before I got home… Although my interest in eating the card is definitely reliant on sanitary storage (don’t try to make me eat wallet jerkey.)

Well that's certainly a new take on a business card....and a tasty one at that. It may not be the most practical option, for anyone who doesn't work in the meat industry, it certainly might be a memorable token. However, it's just as likely that you might equally offend someone. Still I might order some just to see how good his jerky is.

The beef jerky card is definitely an interesting idea, and a good way to get someones attention, but it would be very easy to come off as unprofessional or offend someone if you were to give these out, much less just have your cards shared as a snack. I think there is potential here though for an expansion on the idea. Maybe not edible but other types of unique business cards. For instance, ive see cards with a bite out of the corner for a dentist, or cards shaped like a tool for a carpenter. The limits of what the laser cutter can do are endless, but maybe edible is the wrong direction.

This is kind of ridiculous. I get that everyone wants to stand out, and having an interesting business card is a great way to do that, but even if you are in the meat industry this is really unprofessional and impractical. I do however like the different options for shapes and styles of business cards that the plotter has to offer. I have seen some great examples of professional attention grabbing business cards and I definitely think there is a way to be stylish and professional.

I was reading an article somewhere (Not sure if it was from the green page...) about how a lot of businesses actually don't like the recent development of people having out-of-the-box business cards, because you don't know what to do with them. You certainly can't stick this in a wallet or in an address book or folder. This one just seems so over the top in terms of non-practicality that I just don't see the point beyond being memorable for a few minutes. Once they get over the novelty of a beef jerky card, what are they supposed to do with it? Eat it right there? Well, there goes your information. Save it for later? Sure, but they're not going to want a piece of beef jerky sitting on their desk for a week.

Wow, this is completely hilarious, and probably honestly extremely effective! This beef jerky business card has many pros, actually. One pro is that the customer can get a real taste of the company’s product, right there and then. This beef jerky business card is a step further than a regular sample, it has information on it! Second of all, the weird, quirky, hilarity of this form of business card is sure to be posted on social media. That is one hundred percent free advertisement. If a company can make anything funny or wacky enough to make its customers want to post it online, they have a good thing going. I hope we come to see more creative, funny, and unique ways to advertise in the future, ads today are so incredibly boring, just due to the sheer quantity of them.
