In order to feel truly energized, a big part of that is what you do with your body. That sounds lame, but its true. If you get a decent, consistent amount of sleep at night and you eat good food and you at least try to be somewhat active (because we all know how easy it is to have time to work out....) then by keeping your body happy you will have more energy. Honestly, I find that sucking down coffee and energy drinks just does not help that much. Also, my mom is a huge advocate of taking B6 regularly.

I agree with the exercising thing. When you get to overcome the laziness, after working out, you feel much better and with more energy. I have read somewhere exercising secretes serotonin, which is related to the welfare feeling.
Anyway, I usually find this kind of articles quite obvious... They never say nothing new... I guess at least they are entertaining.

I took down the window blinds in my bedroom. The natural light in the morning realy helps hte get up and go. I also found with the new cat, he is on a schedule in the morning too. My cat is a huge engery booster for me. But I feel stu tech could use a plant to help us out.

exercising is great if you can get it in before or during work hours. I bike to school; it may only be a mile, but its half uphill w/ a weight on my back, but it makes me focus and gets the blood pumping before I hit campus. Not to mention on mornings like todays, riding my bike in the rain gets me my cold shower as well.

I would add "Listen to Music" on to that list. I find that when i have music on in the morning, or play it while i am doing homework, as long as it is not distracting in the sense of being too loud / obnoxious / headache inducing, it gives me a pace to work to. I also find that an instant energy booster, despite a strong negative net effect, is taking a lap around your workspace. When i am falling asleep reading a play, i just read while i am walking around the room. It wakes me up pretty well.
