Artist Nikk Alcaraz, Who's Done Design Work For Disney, Brings Holiday Cheer to Brownsville
Pittsburgh Magazine: Nikk Alcaraz’s life is like a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Last year, the 31-year-old artist, author and content creator left California with his partner, Weston Reindl, and moved into an old fixer-upper in Brownsville that they purchased online.
LDI Awards Presented
Lighting&Sound America Online - News: The annual round of awards at the LDI Show took place at a breakfast presentation. (LDI took place in Las Vegas, December 7-9).
The award for sound product went to the Qu-Series of mixers from Allen & Heath. Designed for small to mid-sized applications, it was cited as being reliable and budget-friendly.
Kate Hudson to receive Costume Designers Guilds Spotlight Award

Kathy Hochul Signs SAG-AFTRA Bills to Regulate AI Performers
variety.com: Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday signed two bills backed by SAG-AFTRA that will regulate the use of “synthetic” AI performers in New York.
One bill will require disclosure when an AI performer is used in advertising, while the second will forbid the use of a dead performer’s likeness to create a deepfake without the estate’s consent.
