I have had my eye on DC for a while now. I want to live and work there so badly. I could not explain what specifically about it is so appealing but I do know that DC is known for New Works and that is really appealing to me. I worked on a show that was a part of a women in theatre festival and it was a new work. While it was one of the most challenging experiences ever it was really rewarding. To see a show go from nothing to everything and being a part of every step was incredible. The only theatre I recognized in the list is arena stage which is a theatre I would love to work for. I do wonder what this new work will look/sound like with the government shutdown and the presence of the government in other theatres in DC. I could see it being a thing especially if people go against what the government deems as an appropriate topic right now.
