As a theatre student studying sound design, I find RockForce’s acquisition of QSR Productions particularly fascinating because it highlights the growing scale and technical complexity of live events in the U.S. RockForce already has a reputation for handling some of the biggest productions in the world—Coachella, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and Formula 1, to name a few. Bringing QSR into the fold expands not just their regional reach, but also their ability to deploy skilled crews and streamline workflows with technology-driven staffing systems. From my perspective, this is a reminder of how essential behind-the-scenes labor is to creating unforgettable audience experiences. Sound, lighting, rigging, and staging crews are the invisible backbone of live entertainment. By investing in regional companies like QSR, RockForce is strengthening that foundation. For someone entering the field, it’s encouraging to see how much value is being placed on technical expertise and the craft of production.
