How Much Money Does Nate Bargatze Owe the Boys and Girls Club After the Emmys?
www.thewrap.com: Emmys host Nate Bargatze ended up paying the Boys & Girls Club $250,000 due to his master plan to keep the awards ceremony short. But that donation truly came from the bottom of his heart as the comedian called the final number “embarrassing.”

This thing that Nate Bargatze was something I learned through watching social media clips of the Emmys earlier this morning. I always thought that it was not only frustrating how celebrities would over talk significantly during their acceptance speeches, especially when they were rambling, though I understand that you may only win an award once in your life and have a bit more than 45 seconds you want to say. I do also think that as an audience member the progressively louder passive aggressive music that gets played was also excruciating. I think that this was an interesting way to try and get people to stay in time with more stakes. Though it was somewhat sad to see how much money, if left to the winners alone, would’ve been lost without Bargatze comping the donation. I hope they continue to keep some kind of activity like this one to try and promote timeliness and having an ability to turn a night of celebration into another opportunity to have good organizations be donated to.
