I really hope this production is able to succeed despite the breaking relations between the producers and the playwright. The play was a huge success off-broadway, and it seems upsetting that these days a pulitzer-prize winning new work can't pick up producers for a Broadway run. Clearly this play deserves to be seen, and I hope that other producers will see that and contribute. I also was sad to hear that relations broke because of a problem relating to an outside problem, which is sad because I don't think Rudin should take Norris' declining of a role for a separate project personally. Hopefully as I said, other producers who are more understanding will pick up this exciting project.
