New plays and newcomers salvage Broadway season

Yahoo! News: "The total gross for the season, according to the Broadway League (the industry's trade association), was $937.5 million, about a million dollars shy of the previous year. And attendance slipped slightly, too, to 12.27 million, down from 12.3 million in the preceding season."
