How to compliment...I never thought I would see a "how to" on this topic. I think it is funny that they specifically say to give facts to support your compliment. Wow, it seems like now you even have to research to compliment someone now.

I think it's really good to think of compliments in this way. I mean, sure a short "you look nice" is definitely appreciated, but the specificity definitely does help. Although it may be slightly more work on the part of the compliment giver, it certainly ends up being worthwhile for the one being complimented. A specific compliment with a reason and question does show that you notice a person, but definitely that you care to hear something from them. If we were all become so apt a giving comments, it may become cliche, but it's more likely worth the effort.
