  1. This is cool but I have to be so honest I think it would make me want to puke. Watching that video alone I was like wow that is a lot. The sphere has never really been an interest of mine. It seems really cool but I think I would get overwhelmed. I am curious what made them choose wizard of oz specifically because to me it seems like a bit of a random choice at a random time. I would also be curious to see what ticket prices are. I might be thinking about that because my last article was about Broadway tickets but I would not be surprised if tickets for this were on the more expensive end. I personally would not pay for this but like I said I do not like the wizard of oz and I think it would make me want to throw up. I will be curious to see the success of this event and how long it goes for.

This is amazing! I love original art, but sometimes I think it is beautiful to take art that already exists and ask the question “what if”, what if it was shown like…. What if we…. Some of the most beautiful art comes from asking the question, “What if”.
When i first saw the pictures online I was stunned on how cool this looked and how surrounded one could be by this art, and then when I saw the videos of the interactive elements of the show such as apples dropping from the sky, the twister, the butterflies, and the flying monkeys, I was simply blown away, who doesn’t want to live inside a musical! I think it is brilliant when artists and directors pose the question what can we do to break the lines of audience and art. When an someone is connecting with art they are absorbing the emotions and mentally putting themselves inside the art and when those lines are blurred you can have some of the most beautiful connections between artist, art, and audience.

The Las Vegas Sphere has always been a venue that has fascinated me. At this time in technological history it is just such a new and different style of performance venue. Now after reading this article the idea that they are integrating 4D elements into the spere at a greater scale is simply mind blowing. Seeing any piece of media on the sphere's screen is already an immersive experience, but adding 4D elements at an even greater scale like this article is describing will make for a groundbreaking experience. This "ground breaking" experience would then lead me to worry about the preservation of the original story, but I am glad to read/hear that the Las Vegas sphere is also focused on maintain the original pieces of media that are coming to the sphere's screen. I would be overjoyed to see the Wizard of Oz remastered to fit the Sphere with 4D elements, so I will settle for being jealous of those who get to see it.

I absolutely love immersive theatre! The prospect of immersive/4D movies really excites me. I am really intrigued by the fact that they reorchestrated the entire movie’s score. I am wondering how long it took them to rerecord all of the music, vocals, dialogue, etc. The surround sound is really interesting, and I am also really interested in what the article was saying about the individual sounds traveling throughout the Sphere. The absolute best art that I have experienced has been immersive. I absolutely loved the immersive production of Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre in London. I was in the standing section that was actually onstage. I am still inspired to this day how this production literally made the story unfold all around the audience. I aspire to one day produce immersive theater, and my Guys & Dolls experience actually inspired me to create an immersive Hadestown set design!
