The Lexington Theatre Company gets ‘show-stopping’ $2 million donation
www.wkyt.com: The Lexington Theatre Company is receiving a show-stopping $2 million gift from the James A. and Martha R. Brown Charitable Foundation.
The gift allowed The Lex to purchase their currently leased-to-own property at 2323 Alexandria Drive 14 years ahead of schedule and will help complete Phase four of six planned phases of related property renovations.

This is incredible. Could you imagine working for a company and all the sudden you just get an extra 2 million dollars. I noticed it said they had raised 3.6 million already which is incredible and probably took so much work and this donation almost doubled that overnight. I did a bit of research on the company that got the donation and it seems like they are doing really good work that is valuable to the community which is exciting. I love when money goes to good companies doing important work. The thing I am now curious about that was not in the article is who the donors are and why they donated to this organization. There must be a reason they made such a large donation to this organization and also a reason they have that much money to donate…they are obviously good people so I would love to learn about the connection.
