Creative Arts Emmys 2025: Night 2 Complete Winners List
www.thewrap.com: “Saturday Night Live” and the “SNL50” specials cleaned up on Night 2 of the Creative Arts Emmys, winning 11 categories, by far the most of any nominee. Considering that Lorne Michael’s half-century-old comedy institution was already the most nominated program in Primetime Emmy Awards history with 372 nods, it was expected that TV Academy voters would respond well to its milestone fiftieth season in all its various forms.

I was a bit surprised by this list as I thought it would have been a touch more diversified in the types of shows, but I also understand why most of these shows are such long running programs like Saturday Night Live and talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert (which I am so sad have been cancelled). It makes sense that SNL has gotten so many awards since their 50th anniversary program was a true masterpiece in live broadcast sketch comedy and all of the moving pieces and big performances. I was also excited to learn about the Pee-Wee Herman documentary as I absolutely loved Pee-Wee Herman and the Big Adventure movie when I grew up and would really like to watch this documentary, as I’d be curious to know more about the character and where all the information came from (I even saw his show on on or off broadway I can’t remember).
