Rick Springfield Just Found Out He Has Brain Damage Stage Fall in 2000

www.billboard.com: Rick Springfield recently found out that a bad fall he took in 2000 resulted in brain damage. The 75-year-old “Jessie’s Girl” singer revealed to People magazine that after getting a whole-body MRI scan he was told that he still has lasting brain damage from an on-stage tumble during a Las Vegas show 25 years ago.

I didn't know this guy by name but I do know his song. I thought this title meant he just found out for the first time about brain damage from 25 years ago, but then it implied that he just had another scan that confirmed it was still there. But it wasn't entirely clear which one is the case. It said he originally thought he just broke his wrist, even though he fell 25 feet and hit his head three times. That must have hurt. Plus, imagine doing that while performing in front of thousands of people.
It is really sad that his dad died from something that could've been cured because he didn't want to know about it. I don't think I'll ever understand the perspective of intentional ignorance. But I'm glad that he has chosen to seek medical attention, and I hope this condition has not affected him too much.
