Good luck getting home: Bay Area arts can't recover without late-night public transit
Datebook: If you’re a public transit user and a theater fan, you know exactly how it goes.
There you are, leaving a show at 10 p.m. or so. You hustle to the nearest station or stop. You look for the next arrival times, more fearful than hopeful. Alas, there it is: 30 minutes until your bus or train arrives. And that’s not counting delays, missed transfers or ghost buses.
