This mural is so amazing! The pictures don’t even communicate how large this art piece is. I like looking at how it interacts with the world around it. The woman centered in the piece seems to look at the cars driving to the side of her, and to be touching the edge of the highway with her finger.
The name of the piece is ‘quel temps fera-t-il demain?’ meaning ‘what will the weather be tomorrow?’ I appreciate the subtlety in the message about climate change. The woman’s expression seems neutral, if a little tired. But her gaze, resting on the cars, shows disappointment. The plastic bag above her head emphasizes the issue- consumerism and plastic use- that is causing our weather to change.
This art piece seems to still exist in Paris, and in 2021, a 1000 piece puzzle was made of it!
It's crazy that it took only eight days to complete. I wonder how large a team it required.
