Post-Gazette: Each year, about 100 shows are staged in Downtown’s Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Each time a new production opens, four workmen must change the letters by hand on the theater’s marquee, working from a lift parked on Seventh Street.
Once a $500,000 renovation is finished later this summer, changing the marquee will require just a few clicks of a computer mouse.
