How can the AMPTP say that the union can't strike because of the economical status of the county and then reject a request to return to formal negotiations. It is in everyone's best interest to at least talk. But closing the door really forces the union to hit the producers where it really hurts... To deny talks just gives the union the ability to "deem(s) it (a strike) necessary and unavoidable to do so."
If other similar unions and producers can come to agreements, then why can't SAG and the AMPTP? These people are just too power and money hungry to feed their big egos and big salaries.
