City gathers 'MOMENTUM'
Post Gazette: "The two shows already on City's schedule for world premieres next season get several days of rehearsal followed by two readings each, two days apart, to allow for rewriting. 'Long Story Short' is a contemporary musical by Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda, based on ' An Infinite Ache' by David Schulner, an account of a musical romance from an inauspicious first date through the ups and downs of a long relationship, directed by Brigden. 'Speak American' by Eric Simonson ('Work Song,' 2004) is set in 1904 Pittsburgh, where immigrants learn about a new language and new country and their young teacher learns about the tactics of Big Steel."
