New York Triples Film Tax Incentives

Backstage: "Film and television producers who shoot in New York got a huge boost Wednesday when state lawmakers approved a budget measure that tripled the tax credits on below-the-line production costs, from 10 percent to 30 percent."

    That's really surprising that films are moving to Connecticut instead of New York. I guess New York officials should really try to fix the taxes so that films will come to back to New York. There is so much going on in the city nowadays that it doesn't surprise me that the films are getting pushed out. However New York is losing a lot of money, over $400 million went to Connecticut over New York this year.
