Here comes the bloodshed
The Tartan Online: "Television shows like Bridezillas and Whose Wedding is it Anyway? do a good job of capturing the drama of one wedding with one bride at the helm, so you can imagine the kind of chaos inherent in a ceremony featuring five brides, 10 brides, or even more. The University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre’s aptly named Big Love takes things to the extreme, telling the story of 50 reluctant brides and their 50 eager grooms. What results is an entertaining and surprisingly morbid performance, calling into question the sanctity of marriage."

I unfortunately have never read the piece Big Love is based on, but both the original and inspired story seem to deal with a cliche topic in a very non-cliche way. There are many plays, films, books, etc that deal with marriage, where it its often the woman's sole goal to get married. It it is unique to see this play telling the opposite story. I also appreciate that with 3 women and 3 men representing each group of 50 they aren't forced into one stereotype for each sex. I am also very curious as to how this plays out as dark since the premise seems to be a comedy.
