This sounds like a great idea, all of these things do. A really important reason for going to the theatre is to meet the other audience members, to turn around in your seat and say "what did you think of that? I saw the original, do you like this revival better?" You cant do that watching television. And the way you react to the art from your seat informs how the actors will continue their performances. that you cant get from a movie. The cupcake questions seem like a great way to start a Q & A session without much finagling. Once you get the audience thinking, the fun can go on and on.
