It's great that both of those theatre companies were able to save themselves, but it isn't very clear why a show based on a Dickens novel that is over 6 hours long would be a troupe's savior. The article acknowledges that part of the reason Nickleby was successful is because of the quality of the company performing it, but surely there are other plays that can highlight a company better than a six-hour show. I don't see what is so special about Nickleby that couldn't be done with another show.
