Monsters & Critics: "The Oscar Makeup and hair “bakeoffs” were Saturday, January 19, as the members of the Academy’s Makeup Branch viewed 10-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films."
This is interesting.. I never think of the hair and make-up of things like this as a separate entity though I know it is. It's cool to see that they get recognized somehow and that they have big events. I think having a community in a specific area like that is really important in the stability and growth of that area as a whole. Kudos for the 'BAKE OFF!'
I was surprised to see Harry Potter on there, but I guess maybe that's a good thing, that I didn't notice "oh that guy's done up to look this way" Like Naomi said, its great that these people can be recognized for their achievements.
