I've used hair dryers, candles, heat guns, and torches to activate heatshrink, But I've always ended up with the impression that a plain old lighter is just as useful and much easier.
ReplyDeleteFor actual soldering, I switched to an adjustable electric iron a few years back and have never wanted to use a gas one again.
