lifehack.org: "As a new guest author to lifehack.org and an experienced productivity consultant I would like to start by naming and dispelling common productivity and organizing myths. This series will be posted each Wednesday until we cover the top 10."
To address how we "program" organizational skills, I found looking back on how I function that a lot of what I do is from what my parents do. And not that they purposely taught me these things. They were just always a way of life. Learning to put things back where they belong. Cleaning up after myself. I now lead a very organized lifestyle and even though I have always gotten shit for being so organized (or OCD), it increases my level of performance, and keeps be from go crazy with everything I have to do.
