Students collaborate for this 'Nutcracker'
Post Gazette: "Sometimes the trickle-down effect doesn't apply only to economics. When Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre eliminated its orchestra, audiences showed that they wanted live music with resounding support."
This is a great opportunity for these students! Its not often that a chance to collaborate with so many people in such a large scale way comes along. I can just imagine the energy going around in the room. I am also curious what the skill level is of these kids. While I'm sure that they are not PSO level musicians, etc., I wonder if this show would give the PBT a run for their money in terms of audience? Maybe I'll have to go see this show and report back.
