Stratford stages the Bard, other fine theater with panache
Post Gazette: "It hardly seems fair they should be just two hours apart in southern Ontario, but there they are, and Pittsburgh benefits, because it's just a brisk five-hour drive north to the Shaw and about 6 1/2 hours to Stratford."
I enjoyed your take on these plays; as a Stratfordian I have to agree that there are some amazing things to watch this year. It is just too bad you didn't have the chance to see "The Glass Menagerie". It is lifted by its absolutely astonishing cast from the sentimentality I have always felt it had too much of -- visitors to Stratford should try to see a fantastic production of a play too often taken for granted.
