Should the music industry go virtual? I think absolutely not because music is such a spiritual force that was meant to be experienced live since we discovered it. We as homo sapiens discovered music through playing it live, and live performance holds such a strong power not only on the side of the viewer but also of the creator. Pre-recorded music does rule the world currently and is the primary way we consume music, and live recordings whether in video or just audio format can certainly be impactful. But i think it would be an absolute scam for people to sell vr concerts to people when they could be seeing the music live instead. I think amaze VR’s technology and VR concerts could be interesting ways to make concert viewing more accessible to people, but I still think it is a bit of a scam. Vr concerts could be great for kids, or people that are unable to feel comfortable in concerts but it all feels very supernatural/end of the world/dystopian. But then again, to each their own!!
