How to Build a Leaning Ladder Bookcase
This Old House: A ladder bookcase is a great addition to any room. Best of all, you can easily build your own for a third of the price you’d pay at the store. Follow the directions below to learn how to build a DIY ladder bookcase.
I have always loved watching old reruns of This Old House on TV but I had no idea that there was a website that was just full of home renovation project and instructions! This leaning ladder bookcase is something that I have seen countless times in stores and peoples houses that look like they were bought from IKEA or some department store so it is always nice to think about the possibility of building your own and making it exactly how you would like it. I am really blown away by the depth of detail in these step by step instructions and how it even goes further to give the DIYer a cut list and some simple assembly draftings. The video guide is really just the cherry on top of the whole thing, This Old House really has broken this project down into digestible pieces and provided a number of different sets of instructions for all kinds of people with incredibly different levels of experience.
