The New York Times: On any given night outside a theater in central Tokyo, hundreds of women can be found waiting in neat phalanxes, dressed in matching T-shirts or sporting identical colored handkerchiefs — the uniform of what may be the most rabidly loyal fans in Japanese entertainment.
I find it interesting that this company chose to change so much about the show but did not let their culture affect the way it was staged and kept it having a very american theme. I am and have always been a fan of pieces of theater being displaced re-imagined so this show excites me actively and being such a fan of Chicago, hope to one day see such a re-imagining, and am actively excited about this show even though it is so very far away from me.
