Broadway.com: For his first episode of Land of Lola, Broadway.com’s newest vlogger Billy Porter captures behind-the-scenes magic at Broadway’s Kinky Boots, including numbers from the show and the consequence of doing eight-shows in six-inch heels.
This was a great video. I applaud Broadway.com for having the actors that are actually in these shows be the reporters themselves. It gives a completely different point of view of the process that I rarely get to see. He is absolutely correct when he says that actors are athletes too. I wonder how much more interesting this video would have been had it been filmed using Google glass technology. #ifihadglass
Interesting to see a grad have to apply himself to more than just the show, but also the publicity of the show. I personally don't like to think that this industry could ever force me to become a "vlogger", but apparently it can. Either way it's fascinating to see every part of the process that goes into promoting and performing a new Broadway musical from the prospective of a recent grad.
