Monday Master Class: Getting Things Done for College Students...Made Easy
Study Hacks: "In July of 2007, the first month of Study Hacks’ existence, I posted an article introducing Getting Things Done for College Students (GTDCS). This time management system was a modification of David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD), tweaked for the college lifestyle. It was meant for students who needed something more than the simple system described in Straight-A or in this infamously titled post."
Thanks so much for the GTD link! I've incorporated it into iCal. We'll see if it makes any difference. Mid-semester is here and all of my projects are due at once. We'll see if I've mastered GTDFC by finals time.
ReplyDeleteWhat they propose makes sense and it's good to be reminded of how important organization is but here's where I see a problem. My email gets enough incoming mail a day so why add my own to the list? I don't really see how this will help, but I guess it's an attempt to reach out to the electronic generation. In addition, the whole idea on a non-Zen schedule is perfectly legit emotionally but unrealistic logically. My day alone is a 9-5 block of just class. I ALWAYS have to work nights. (Which may explain why everyone in purnell is so bitchy sometimes). Their ideas seems to be based on a very ideal situation which is not college life. Still, that's not me saying the article is worthless, just needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
