CMU plans $1 billion campaign

PostGazette: "Carnegie Mellon University yesterday announced a campaign to raise $1 billion, an amount aimed at advancing endeavors from new scholarships and campus life enhancements to research and teaching."

  1. I'm excited to see how this money may be put to good use. I read a few weeks back that Harvard has like 40 billiono and we only have around 1 billion per year, I was surprised that it was such a difference. There is always room for improvement and i hope this goes as planned if not better.

    A really awesome thing to see a university doing. I really like the goals that are the foundation for this drive with scholarships being at the top to help people who can't afford to attend a school that they might have been accepted to.

    it's interesting the president is very subtle and sensitive about this especially in the times like this. but it's good that this is a long time plan, not something that needs to get done in a month or what not.
