Broadway's 'Phantom' Is 19 Years Old
Yahoo! News: "The Phantom was always fond of candles, so birthdays must be extra special for him. The Harold Prince production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera turns 19 years old Jan. 26 at the Majestic Theatre."
It's pretty weird to think that the show has been running in the same place for so long...even the original one in London moved to a bigger venue. As much as I enjoy the show as it is, I like to see it close and so that it can be done differently, because seeing the same carbon copy sets is getting boring. It almost makes me curious to see the Vegas version and how they condensed it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHANTOM!!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad they mad that dreadfully aweful movie of it... Someday, I hope they re-make that. Just thinking about the movie makes me hurt.
On another note, here is a link to some Phantom Fun Facts:

It's my brother's page, sorry for the "shameless plug" but it really is a funny/interesting read.
The first half is all screw-ups and the second half is more about the facts of the shows itself.
