It’s something that not a lot of people think about; how does a hockey arena host concerts? But there’s so many people who make their living off of doing those change-overs quickly and effectively. I’m sure hockey fans don’t realize the amount of event planning that goes into making a game a public event. This reminds me of the NFL article posted here last week, since they both deal with unexpected event planning and venue management in sports. We talked about this in our podcast too. That there are so many different options for people who work in the entertainment industry ‘behind-the-scenes’. There are so many different types of entertainment, and they all need someone coordinating. Even things that don’t feel like ‘art’ or that you wouldn’t imagine need artists actually depend on people coming out of programs like ours.
