Pigs in Hollywood: Moonves is as bad as Weinstein

Salon.com: I moved to Hollywood to work in the movie and TV business in the early 90’s. The first thing my agent said to me the day we became partners was this: “I’ll set up a meeting for you with anyone out here, except for Harvey Weinstein and Don Simpson. You’re never going anywhere near them. They’re screamers and liars and thieves. They’ll steal your pitch, set it up at a studio, and then turn around and sue you for stealing the idea from them. They’re pigs. We don’t do business with them.”

Yes, the title says it all, they are pigs flat out. There is no way to justify their actions, there is also no way to justify their power. I never thought about it before, they have no talent except their money. They are given complete power in the industry because of their money. On Broadway producers like Cameron Macintosh are very hands on in the creative process, giving them some actual talent at creating theatre. The film industry is less so they are really just investors and should be treated as so. I also like calling out the bullshit of rhetoric like "advances" these are assaults plain and simple, often I would call them rapes because of the brutality these pigs exhibit. How sick must they be to think all that money or power could justify normal human decency and respect for ones self worth and dignity. To me this article was not about how piggish producers can potentially present, but rather how illogical it is for them to have that type of power In the first place. People with that kind of power should be the most humble and most thoughtful among us, because they have that kind of control they should have a higher standard.
