This article talks about the many many options of Google Sheets but it doesn’t mention the interface issue. The reason that I use Microsoft products over Google Docs and Google Sheets is because of the interface. It might be that I am used to using Microsoft products or for some other reason but I just find it more inviting and easier to use Microsoft products. I think it is interesting that the article talks about going from Sheets to Excel because I feel like one of the reasons people create Google Sheets is so that it is easy to send and have multiple people work on. So I think that it is somewhat pointless to switch from Sheets to Excel even with the reasons provided by the author. The article one seems to point out that Sheets auto saves and can share documents easily with people but Sheets as well as having an easy way to introduce formulas but the article doesn’t talk much about how Sheets is a better format creator. One of the reasons that I use excel is because I can make aesthetically pleasing spreadsheets. It might be that I don’t know Sheets well enough but every time I use it, I have trouble achieving the same look. This article hasn’t really convinced me to give Google sheets another try but I’ll keep it on my radar for the future.
