World's First Official "Saw" Movie Escape Room to Open in Las Vegas

Theme Park University: No matter how many times I bring up escape rooms, I keep hearing the same thing. “You know what would be really cool? If they have a “Saw” Escape Room based on the movie and you had to escape Jigsaw’s traps!” Well, friends, it looks like your prayers have been answered.

HELLLLL NO!!! Escape the rooms are fun but the ones I have done have been in either a subway or just a normal room. The idea of trying to escape from a murder freaks me out. I love a good scary movie but why would I want to put myself in the situation of trying to escape from a murder. This is a big no in my book. HOWEVER, I think the idea of this escape the room theme is very cool. Saw is a huge franchise with a lot of followers. To me this is a no brainer on a theme for escape the room. I mean the whole idea of the movie is like one big escape the room. I wonder if this is successful what other type of horror films will be turned into an escape the room. One cool idea for a theme would be one of the movies were people get kidnapped. While a bit dark, it could be interesting to see how they could create that as a theme.

I can see where Evan is coming from: If you have seen the movie, or if you just get scared easy, I can understand how the simulation of being chased and challenged by a murderer could really freak somebody out. However, I looked around on the company's website, and they make it very clear that your safety is their number one priority, and even though there is a warning on the sight about how "the Official SAW Escape is designed to be an intense escape experience," I bet they have a policy regarding players that get too scared part way through the experience. I love escape rooms. I had my Venture Crew go to escape rooms multiple times, and everyone had a great time, every time. I love puzzles, and the addition of a storyline or theme just makes the puzzles more fun to solve. Since this escape room is based on a movie franchise, I bet the set props and decorations are super detailed and realistic – which is also really cool. I wonder if the puzzles in this escape room are more mental puzzles or more physical challenges? Do attending parties have time restraints on challenges or do they get to complete the whole course in one go?
