Like all elements of a sound system, mics present their own unique set of special problems.
Fortunately, a lot of these problems are relatively simple to solve. It’s just a matter of identification and appropriate action.

Oh, the good old sound of picking proper microphone, or at least that’s what I thought I was going to be reading about. This article proposes a lot of good things to consider for those who have not had to troubleshoot any sound systems, or it’s just been a long time in leading a quick little refresher. Like most things, I think this will be a great thing for everyone to know and have experienced. Everyone should at least take a class in every field to understand what they are talking about and the people are we talking about it. Overall this article serves as an excellent little refresher for those who will be working with mics on a daily basis. I do however wish that I would’ve gone more in-depth in some aspects either more information or troubleshooting or even greater specifics on some of the issues that were brought up.
