I've been paying attention to the confessions that have spread across facebook like wildfire to bring light to the country and world that sexual assault is a very prevalent issue that needs to be confronted and dealt with. It is encouraging to know that people in places with more of a voice, like Lili Reinhart, are kind enough to share their story to help this cause. Women being oppressed, harrased, used, and silenced has not just formed into a contemporary problem, but has been ongoing for decades. Only know are we getting a pushback from victims of sexual assault. Hopefully these brave people's stories will help change how society views women and assault.
