We review the brushless 18V Ridgid Cordless Compressor for finish carpentry and general DIY work

homefixated.com: It’s so cute I like to call it the cute brute! Ridgid sent us one of the latest innovations, the Ridgid 18 Volt Brushless Air Compressor, and I spent about a month using it so far. It has proven to be a valuable addition to the tool stable. This pint-sized Ridgid Cordless Compressor is an awesome unit in many respects, though it has some limitations. This review will discuss the strong and not-so-strong points of this little “cutie” in some detail. If you’re in the market for a small air compressor, you will want to hear more!

I definitely learned something today cause I've never seen battery powered air compressors in my life before. It's also very impressive just how well they work at an estimated 1,200 finish nails per battery charge! When I first saw the headline I knew that the motor was going to turn on over and over again, which was proven as true, but it's not a bad trade off for the amount of nails you get to put in per charge as well as the fast psi recharge rate, which only takes a little over a minute. Granted, you're not going to get one of these if you have a permanent shop where you work full-time but if you're a freelance technician or carpenter, this could definitely be something you keep in the back of the truck along with your hammer and nails. The fact that it takes the same battery your drill or portable saw might take only further supports its mobility. Like the author states, you're not going to go out and build any houses with it but for the occasional pneumatic odd job, this thing seems awesome.
