Ringling Bros. Circus to End After 146 Years

Variety: After more than a century, “The Greatest Show on Earth” is coming to an end.

Feld Entertainment, which owns the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, announced Sunday that the show will be getting its curtain call in May. The company broke the news to the circus’ nearly 500 employees after shows in Orlando and Miami over the weekend, according to the Associated Press.

I completely agree with the fact that the circus should not have animals in it. Instead they should have a better marketing team and a better story line to enhance the show. I do understand that the big attraction to coming to the circus is the animals. It is clear that the circus is fading away with this and the big apple circus closing. However what I don't agree with is the tweets being sent out by PETA. Over 500 employs have lost their jobs because of this. Instead of being happy that they are closing they should be sadden that, that many people have lost there jobs. I understand that they feel like they won " the battle" but it seems very in the style of donald trumps tweets. Hopefully the circus will be able to reopen and maybe work with PETA in the future to not have ay problems working with animals!
