Renovation Improves Concert Hall Acoustics

Wenger | J.R. Clancy: Terry Concert Hall had served Jacksonville University (JU) in Jacksonville, Florida, well for nearly 25 years, but it was time for an upgrade. The hall had undergone no major modifications since opening in 1992. JU’s music division had grown substantially over the years; it’s currently at 140 majors with a full array of ensembles, large and small. With 400 seats, Terry Concert Hall is the largest performance space on campus, used for student recitals, chamber music, full orchestra, choral and band. Larger concerts are often held in local churches.

While the article does present a interesting product in the Wegner acoustic banners and they do seem to be a useful and cool tool for controlling the sound in the room, this is pretty damn blatant native advertising. I understand that it is on the Wegner website and it should be obvious that this is an ad, but that still doesn't make the format of the article misleading in it purpose. Wegner could have but rather than starting the article saying that we have start the article stating that the product of their adjustable aucostic banners were awesome and that Jacksonville university is really enjoying them. rather than that tone they attempt to tease you with the idea that the article is about Jacksonville university that just so happened to go with Wegner for the space upgrade, and I just so happens that I'm going now go through every thing that makes my acoustic banners so wonderful. I find articles such as this manipulative and misleading thus they really annoying.
