These are some of my favorite events! I think that building the community you live in is so important, and I love that this is something volunteer based, and just aimed at bringing people together and celebrating the culture. Street fairs and art shows and the small community events were something I always loved to go to as child, and now I wish I made more of an effort to go to things like this here. I would like to add that I think the posting of this article is a little late because the event has done and gone now. I like that they are using Dr. Seuss, I think that Seuss is something that is easy for kids to connect to as well as adults and they can tie in the holiday season with the story of the Grinch. I think he is a little under appreciated as a holiday character, its a classic story and most people know it well, however when I think of the popular Christmas characters I go to Santa, the different Reindeer, Frosty, and Elves, not the Grinch and Cindy Luhu. But, thinking about it The Grinch is one of the most christmas spirit stories because he learns to love, and the good in giving.
