Porchlight casting raises questions on the nature of 'authentic' theater

After what artistic director Michael Weber called an "exhausting audition process," the role of Usnavi was given to Jack DeCesare, whose roots, like Bleu's, turned out to lie in Italy. This makes him, in some eyes, a white actor who simply looks like he isn't.
