The 10 Loudest Speakers and Subwoofers in the World

TheRichest: How do you measure sound? Experts say that the standard unit of measurement for sound levels is the dB scale. The scale, however, is much more complicated than you think. A dB level that is merely three notches higher is actually already twice as powerful.

This is inane! Sound is so amazing it has both physical control and emotional control over the listener. Sound can make the listener feel a certain emotional and transport them to a certain event. It has the power to completely manipulate a person’s emotions and thoughts because we associate certain sounds with certain feelings. For example, when we hear siren sounds we get an anxious feeling because we know something went wrong somewhere that is now causing an emergency response team to respond. Before I read this article I knew sound could make the listener physically feel the bass in their chest but I didn’t know that sound could make the body have involuntary responses. It’s so cool that sound can have that type of control over the human body by literally making the core shake involuntarily when it reaches a certain dB It’s also very interesting that sound can manipulate the feeling of the air when it reaches 140 dB. This amazing because that’s not that far above the rating that we could listen to sound a t a rock concert. This just proves how powerful sound is.
