Well statements of resignation are always sad, right? So this one is no exception. It’s cool, however, that there are shops specifically designed to make tech. Of course designers and builders make their sets and electricians program their tools, but who knows where the tools come from. Someone has to make the lights and sound boards. To be honest, just a letter of resignation doesn’t really relate to theatre, so I’m not sure where to go with this. But just the letter forces one to go beyond the article and search the internet for more information on the more broad topic. So TechShop has multiple locations across the country. I would’ve thought that something like a shop would be a local thing, with other different shops other places. But I guess you can’t have one shop for all the tech in the country. Goes to show that we should pay attention to where our tech comes from.
