'The Big Short' Led Zeppelin song

Business Insider: Director Adam McKay — who is best known for helming many memorable Will Ferrell comedies like the “Anchorman” movies, “Talladega Nights,” and “Step Brothers” — is proving he also has skills to make an engaging drama. His latest movie, “The Big Short,” is building impressive notice from critics in its early screenings

I’d like to take this opportunity to publicly state how horrible that Will Ferrel is as an actor and how ashamed I am that one director continually makes such horrible movies. Please stop. pick someone new. Will Ferrel acts the same way in everything he dose. I am honestly just happy to know that Adam McKay is branching out into trying ANYTHING new. the fact is going well for me, is just a bonus. Led Zeppelin’s music is amazing and I understand why they would not widely allow people/movies to use his music. I hope the The Big Short turns out to be a great movie and that they are not upset about relinquishing the rights to the song “When the Levee Breaks” hopefully the song is also quite integral to the movie to go though all this trouble in getting the rights. It seems little extreme to stalk someone for songs rights, but I clearly don't know anything about the movie.

Unlike the above comment, I don't think Will Ferrell is THAT bad of an actor. He should probably just stick to comedy though. Anyway, The Big Short is probably one of my top 30 favorite movies and I really enjoyed the soundtrack especially. Maybe it's just my interest in stock market crashes or maybe it's my interest in Christian Bale, but I think this movie was extremely well executed. As many people do, I enjoy the soundtrack of films but never bother to consider how they got the rights for a certain song. The story about tracking down Jimmy Page is pretty hilarious, and I'm surprised they spent so much effort to get the rights for this film. However, I believe that if you are creating a piece of art or film or anything, you should try your best to get what fits best. In this case, "When the Levee Breaks" is the perfect song to fit this films dramatic and high-energy nature.
